You’re right. It is quite a claim. But if you believe over 200 versions of the English Bible are all the word of God, then your claim has entered the realm of the impossible. As far as practicing idolatry by comparing bibles only to the KJV, that’s pretty weak. I think his written words are “spirit and life.” Is that idolatry? I think God “hast magnified thy word above all thy name.” Is that idolatry? If you think it is, you might want to do your homework next time. I do have a link to concordances. Gabriel, I am disappointed in you my friend. You of all people (Jesus only) should know that the King James exalts the Lord Jesus like no other version. You should be very familiar with the fact that 1 Tim 3:16 is mutilated in most versions (God was manifest in the flesh). 1 John 3:16 is corrupted in every English bible in the world but the King James. It says that God laid down his life for us (Hereby perceive we the love of God; because he laid down his life for us.) Your God-forsaken versions calls the Son of God, our Lord Jesus Christ, “a son of the gods” in Daniel 3:25. Does that not bother you in the least? It says that in your treasured Reina Valera also. Your God-forsaken versions say that Jesus was a little lower than God in Psalm 8:5. Does God lie in his Bible? Read my false version section on Lies in Your False Bibles. You have to come to a decision whether to believe that God lies in what you call the Bible or God doesn’t lie and that there is a Bible God has preserved for us with no lies. Is God not able to do that Gabriel? Is anything too difficult for him? Every word of God is pure…Proverbs 30:5 The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul. Ps. 19:7. Pray about this issue, Gabriel, and ask the Lord Jesus if he preserved his perfect words in English in a book that you can read. He will show you.

Granted, not every translation, especially paraphrases, are done well, most many are honest attempts to brings God’s word in truth.

Some of the Bibles you list are simply different stages of the release of a particular translation. One example is your list of the New English Bible four times.

Your objection to the Sign Language Bible is rather insulting to those who are of the deaf culture. Unless, that is, you are volunteering to sign the Bible to the deaf so that they can have a Bible that communicates to them.

To start with, if you are using the Codex Vaticanus or Sinaiticus, you are using Catholic manuscripts that are absolute garbage but are passed off as the oldest and therefore the best. There was corruption going on in Paul’s day, so oldest doesn’t mean it’s not corrupted (”For we are not as MANY, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ. 2 Cor. 2:17) If you are using any Westcott and Hort texts, they are corrupt. If you are using the Septuagint, it’s corrupt. If you are using anything but the Hebrew Masoretic text, it is corrupt. Does that help? Do I need to prove how these are corrupt, or are you able to see the difference between black and white? If verses like Daniel 3:27 in all your corrupt versions that calls Jesus “a son of the gods” doesn’t bother you and you accept it as the word of God, there’s not much I can do for you. You need God, not me.

I do not know about any of the OTHER Bibles/books listed by you, but you are in GRIEVOUS ERROR when you listed Godbey’s Translation of the New Testament - God’s Bible School Press - 1905. At the time he lived from the late 1800’s to the early 1900’s he was the SECOND LEADING GREEK SCHOLAR IN THE KNOWN WORLD. He was called time and time again from all over the world to both “debate” others that disagreed with him, and to educate many other Greek scholars in the very best schools and colleges in the entire world. He never lost a single debate. Never. Each and every time that a person would challenge his views, including the Translation of the New Testament from the original Greek, by the end of the debate the challenger had clearly and distinctly stated Dr. William Baxter Godbey was 100% correct in each and every point challenged. You sir, are simply wrong. You need to read and comprehend carefully even the 1611 KJV: 1 Chronicles 16:22 AND Psalms 105:15. “TOUCH NOT MINE ANOINTED, AND DO MY SERVANT NO HARM.” Mr. Steve M. McCalip, I don’t know what your heart motive is in publishing this site, but although you may be sincere, at least in this one instance you are sincerely and completely wrong. I challenge YOU to find one reputable documented source that shows in any way, shape, form or manner where anyone has PROVEN Dr. Godbey’s Translation of the New Testament from the Original Greek is in error in one dot or tittle. I must apologize to you Steve. I had not read the rest of your site before posting my first article here. After I realized that you are mixed up in the Cult of the grievous erroneous doctrine of “Jesus Only” I fully understand your “opinions” (and errors) on so much of God’s Holy Word and Way.

Verses 1:8-9 clearly state the truth. Verses 15 & 16 (and hundreds of other Old and New Testament references) clearly PROVE there is God, and Jesus is a separate being. Steve, a child of basic reading ability can see from the above passage of Scripture, spoken BY JESUS HIMSELF, that there is a GOD, verses 3, 5 and 15 clearly show GOD THE FATHER. The entire passage is being spoken by JESUS, THE SON, and We find the third being in verses 7, 8, 13 and 14, The COMFORTER also known as the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost. Since the King James Bible is a revision of the English Bibles which came before it (it even says so on its title of most old King James Version printings), does that mean the King James Version Bible is part of the line of false translations of the Bible (since it changed God’s words as translated in the prior English translations)? Does that mean the Geneva Bible (which was the dominant English Bible BEFORE the King James Version Bible was translated is the one true English Bible translation that Christians, especially fundamentalist Christians, should be using? What about the Bishops Bible, which is even older? To me the rationale of the King James Only Movement is largely irrational and illogical. It would be best if all Christians learned to read the Bible in its orginal languages of Hebrew, Aramaic, and koine Greek, rather than relying upon someone to translate the Bible for us into our vernacular language, but how many of us are capable of learning Hebrew, Aramaic, and koine Greek?

That is easy, Mike. The apostle Paul said “we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God.” The corruption of the Bible began by “many” even in Paul’s day, 300 years before Vaticanus. That is not surprising in the least that Vaticanus has false Greek manuscripts similar to it from an earlier period. That is what I would expect.

Gabriel, you are wasting your breath trying to talk me out of my faith in the word of God, the King James. If you think you are doing God service in attacking his words in English, you are sorely deceived. Yes, you are wrong about this scripture not being quoted by Jeremiah. The King James is very specific and said it was “spoken” by Jeremiah, which means it doesn’t have to be written by him. See what happens when you assume there is an error instead of believing that God’s words are smarter than us?

Gabriel, you are starting to quote more history than scripture, and by doing so, you are giving authority to history that is becoming dangerously close to the authority of scripture. Though history can be interesting, it is, nonetheless, just man’s words, and many of those words are lies as you know. Quit relying so much on history and stick with the word of God.

Here’s a historical fact about you. I have never heard you say any history source you quoted was “mistranslated”, in “error” or suspect, but you have no problem calling the bible those things. Why is that?

Steve McCalip said “All the other versions have out and out lies in them (Goliath killed by someone other than David 2 Sam 21:19) and many more.” However the KJV in that verse says “slew the brother of Goliath” with the words “the brother of” being in italics (except that some KJV editions have dishonestly removed the italic font from their entire KJV English text). Whenever the King James Version has words in italics it is doing so to indicate that the manuscripts which the KJV is translated from do not have any corresponding words in the Hebrew-Aramaic-Greek Biblical Text. In other words there are no Hebrew words meaning “the brother of” in the 2 Samuel 21:19 in the manuscripts used by KJV, and thus the KJV added those words to God’s word. Yes we know that David killed one person named Goliath, but that does not mean there were not also other people named Goliath who were also killed in ancient Biblical times. For example even the KJV says at Genesis 4:16 that Cain had a son named Enoch athough the KJV at Genesis 5:19 says that it was Jared who had a son named Enoch. There is no contradition, because the Bible is simple speaking of different people named Enoch. Likewise the KJV at Genesis 4:18 says that one of Cain’s descendents was named Methusael who had a son named Lamech, but Genesis 5:25 says that one of Seth’s descendents was named Mahalaleel and that he had a son named Lamech. Trust the American Standard Version, a purer form of God’s Word in English than the corrupted King James Version.

Thank you so for including the Darby Bible. This corrupt version seems to get overlooked most of the time. I have done extensive research on the words John Darby used in place of the words in the KJV and have been, frankly, shocked. He even used the theosophical occult phrase, “works of power” over and over again in his translation.

Had you read that particular translation?

It is interested because about that time was the year of Michael Servatus’ execution; who by then had published two writings against the trinity doctrine. “On errors of the Trinity” and “Restitution of Christianity”.

Do you know that Servatus got out from the Catholic faith by reading a Bible? and he was re-baptized and suggested Calvin to follow his example? And that, is not all there is to it; there is more to it!
