My 4 hour debate with Larry Wessels on Calvinism’s limited atonement heresy. Watch Calvinism get annihilated piece by piece. Larry and I make our points in five minute segments and each of us refutes the other’s point. I make a total of 10 different arguments against Calvinism and he attempts to refute each. He then makes 10 of his points in five minute segments and I refute each.
I did watch the whole thing; by the end of it I have a headache.
Steve, this man mentioned the trinity a couple times how is it that you did not refuted what he said about it?
Both of you used very good scriptural points, in my opinion, there is a loss link somewhere; both of you cannot be right.
My sugestion to both of you is to visit my web site, yesterday I placed in it my very last reading material I do not plan to continue writing letters to ministers anymore; I am sure I have written all there is to said to expose the falsehood of the trinity dogma.
This last reading material title is “The Radiance of His Glory…” and is about …at (the) right (hand) of God; tampered scriptures!
Reading those scriptures with out the tampering words “the” and “hand” the scriptures detect that The Lord Jesus is siting at the right of God because was/is HIS OWN RIGHT!
To the extent that enjoying watching all four hours of this debate is a sin, I am guilty. This format served as an excellent way to provide a synopsis of the soteriological question of the breadth of Christ’s atonement. Both of the speakers demonstrated command of the Bible and showed deference to each other as fellow believers.
I enjoyed Steve’s closing remarks and, prior to that, felt the quote of the debate was that, “Jesus was not a Calvinist” — since Steve showed Christ’s own words can’t seem to reconcile with the concept of limited atonement. Nevertheless,I would have liked to see Steve answer Ephesians 1 and the Jacob and Essau example directly rather than simply suggesting that the doctrine of election was outside the scope of the debate. Larry scored more than a touchdown in his final argument by suggesting that Steve simply dodged his point that, if election be true, Christ’s atonement must have been limited.
All and all, this ballot goes to Steve since he brought home the litany of verses which seem to settle the question [e.g. who wants all men to be saved, I John 2:2, I Tim. 2:4, John 3:16, and John 5:51] and characterized Larry’s efforts to change the plain meaning of words in these texts as linguistic gymnastics.
Larry scored a touchdown?! Come on Nathan. If he scored a touchdown, then the score must have been 85 to 7 in favor of the kingjamesmen. This debate was not about election, but if you recall, I gave a couple of verses that showed that election did not mean what he said it did. I gave God’s meaning in scripture from 1 Peter. I appreciate the kind words though.
